Open FONTANA Positions:
- Flatbed Welder TechnicianPOSITION SUMMARY:
This assignment is for a commercial body Flatbed Assembly position requiring welding skills working in the Flatbed Assembly Department of Harbor Truck & Van. This position offers competitive wages, progressive benefits including health, dental, vision, and disability benefits. In addition, our PATH FORWARD permits advancement up the pay scale ladder. The key responsibility is to assemble Flatbeds of standard and customer specific needs.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Weld metals according to customer or employer requirements.
- Ensure high safety measures while working such as wearing protective gear for the face and body.
- Examine the equipment after welding and advise Team lead/Manager of defects.
- Plan/set up of welding operations before beginning.
- Lead welders will supervise welding operations and train entry level workers.
PAINT TECHNICIAN
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is for a commercial body Painting Technician requiring painting/priming skills to work in the Paint Department of Harbor Truck & Van. This position offers competitive wages, progressive benefits including health, dental, vision, and disability benefits. In addition, our PATH FORWARD permits advancement up the pay scale ladder. The key responsibility is priming, painting, and repairing paint jobs on commercial truck bodies and truck body accessories.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Priming/ Painting Truck bodies
- Priming/ Painting Truck Body accessories and parts
- Ability to correct paint jobs
- Inspect quality of finished product for any paint flaws
RACKS TECHNICIAN
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is for a commercial utility body Racks Technician requiring some MIG welding skills working in the Racks Department of Harbor Truck & Van. This position offers competitive wages, progressive benefits including health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits. In addition, our PATH FORWARD permits advancement up the pay scale ladder. The key responsibility is to weld and cut material to assemble good quality racks that will be mounted onto commercial utility vehicles.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Examine the equipment after welding and advise Team lead/Manager of defects.
- Plan/set up of welding operations before beginning.

DRIVER- TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT
Positions Summary:
The key role of the Transportation-Driver department is to transport vehicles to the locations where they are needed. Employees that work in in the driver position gain a chance to interact with multiple departments within our company. Whether the assignment is to deliver vehicle(s) to a customer or assist the shop in moving product through the assembly line, the transportation-driver position is a great asset and fulfilling to work for at Harbor Truck & Vans. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Transporting vehicles from storage lots and locations to dealerships/destinations.
- Perform vehicle maintenance checks.
- Delivering vehicles to customers in a timely manner.
- Picking up shop and/or office purchases or supplies as needed.
- Utilizing navigation apps to find the most optimal truck route.
- Interacting with clients in a professional manner.
- Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use.
- Updating daily meal Break Log sheet to submit at end of shift.
- Driving safely at all times
